WECGROUPS is the trading name of WE CONTRACT LTD, a UK umbrella company incorporated in England and Wales on 28 August 2026, company number 17426165. Our registered office is 34 Runcorn Road, Birmingham, England, B12 8RQ, and we trade from the same address.
We employ contract and temporary workers placed by UK recruitment agencies, and we administer their pay, tax, National Insurance, pension and statutory entitlements. We are not a recruitment agency: we do not source candidates, place workers, or negotiate assignment rates. Our role begins once a placement has been made.
What we do and what we don't
We do:
- Employ contractors under contracts of employment governed by UK employment law
- Operate PAYE and make Real Time Information submissions to HMRC
- Assess and enrol employees into a qualifying workplace pension scheme
- Administer statutory sick pay, statutory maternity and paternity pay, and holiday pay
- Carry out right to work verification before an assignment begins
- Issue Key Information Documents in line with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003
We do not:
- Source, place, or supply workers to end hirers
- Provide tax advice, tax planning, or tax mitigation of any kind
- Operate loan schemes, remuneration trusts, offshore arrangements, or any structure that reduces a worker's PAYE liability below the statutory amount
- Hold client money outside the ordinary course of processing payroll
- Guarantee or advertise a take-home pay percentage
Our structure
How we are structured
WECGROUPS is a standalone company. We are not part of a group, and we do not hold any portion of our workforce in a separate entity.
Our directors, and any persons with significant control, are recorded at Companies House. Our filings are public and you can check them at any time.
Governance
Our position on compliance
The umbrella sector has a documented history of non-compliant operators. HMRC has published guidance on mini umbrella company fraud, disguised remuneration schemes, and arrangements that fragment a workforce across multiple entities to abuse Employment Allowance or the VAT Flat Rate Scheme.
WECGROUPS operates a single PAYE scheme. We do not create additional companies to hold portions of our workforce. Every employee is paid through the same scheme, at the statutory PAYE and National Insurance rates, with deductions itemised on every payslip.
We welcome due diligence from agencies, end clients, banks and auditors, and we will provide payroll reconciliations, RTI submission confirmations, and insurance certificates on request.
